MAN KNOW THY SELF (9)

The teaching of Rabbi Jesus concerning the treatment of other humans was clear. If they are a part of you then you must treat them the way you want to be treated. In the Hebrew Bible, Rabbi Jesus said in Luke, we must "love our enemies, be good to them which hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."  He goes on to say, "lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great….be merciful, as your father is also merciful, judge not and ye shall not be judged, condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven."
It is clear from these teachings that each human is your brother or your sister. We are one! The reason for behaving in this manner is to save your-self from evil. When it comes to fornication (sex), Rabbi Jesus only reminds us of what it feels like to be in the body and the struggle involved. He said, "Miserable is the body that depends on another body, and miserable is the soul that depends on the two of them." If your focus in life is on sex and you depend on it for happiness in life, then you are going to be miserable.  It does not say you should not have sex, but if you depend on it, you are in trouble. He said, "Everyone who seeks truth from true wisdom will fashion wings in order to fly away and escape from the passion that inflames the human spirit."
It is understood that our spiritual thoughts should be focused on doing good and avoiding evil. We are stuck in the body but we must believe in the teachings and pray for deliverance. In the Dead Sea Scrolls that Rabbi Jesus was asked about people who do not believe in the teachings and he said, "Do not think of them as human beings, but consider them as animals. For animals devour each other, so people like this devour each other. Moreover, the kingdom is taken from them, since they love the delights of fire, they are slaves of death, and they revel in filth. They fulfill the lust of their parents. These people will be thrown down into hell, and will be beaten, as their bitter, wicked natures deserve. They will be whipped to drive them down to the unknown, and will leave the limbs of their bodies behind, not with courage but with despair."
He went on to say, "Yet these people, being foolish and mad, are happy in the anxieties of this life. Some of those who rush into this madness do not realize they are foolish, but think they are wise. They are drawn to the beauty of the body, as if it would not perish, their minds turn to themselves, their thoughts are on their own pursuits, but the fire will consume them."
Each day, we ask the Creator for guidance, that its Will might be done. Rabbi Jesus said: "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you….ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be full." Also, he said, "Watch and pray that you may not be born in the flesh, but that you may leave the bitter bondage of this life. When you pray, you will find rest, for you have left pain and abuse behind. When you leave bodily pains and passion, you will receive rest from the Good One, and you will reign with the King, you united with the King and the King united with you, now and forever and ever."
And finally, Rabbi Jesus said, "You must ascend within to find heaven and hell. He who drinks from my mouth will become as I am and I shall be he." For those of you who have understood these words go forth and conquer! Maybe someday you too can pass the "Bar of Right." I am still working on it!
Peace, Aubrey
